Course Description:
This course is tailored for English major students specializing in English education who have completed a basic reading course and are ready to delve deeper into extensive reading. Extensive reading involves exposure to a wide variety of authentic texts to enhance reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills. It focuses on expanding reading skills through extensive reading practices while incorporating a diagnostic test at the beginning to assess and address any lingering weaknesses in basic reading comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary. Students will engage with various literary genres, enhancing their comprehension, vocabulary, and critical thinking skills in preparation for advanced academic studies.
